Dive Sites in Andaman Sea Thailand

Phuket is the ideal starting point for your diving holiday. Whether it's one day or multi-day diving you're looking for, Phuket can cater to all. There are a large number of dive sites accessible within one day, all very interesting and all very different. And some of the more distant destinations, such as the Similans or Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, can now be reached on a day dive with Marina Divers' new high-speed catamaran.

Koh Similan
An archipelago of nine islands, these are the centerpiece of Thailand's liveaboard scene, but can now be enjoyed on our high speed catamaran in a day. Huge boulders and caverns underwater are home to more than 500 species of hard and soft corals and an incredible variety of fish, including large pelagics. Similans is ranked among the top 10 dive sites in the world.

Anemone Reef
A stunning submerged reef 5m below sea level covered in soft coral. A large abundance and variety of fish can be found -- leopard sharks, nurse sharks, barracuda, tuna, trevally and much more.

Koh Racha Yai
Known for its easy diving, clear calm water and a good variety of marine life, visibility is 20-80ft. A selection of hard coral fringe reefs lie to the east, and the wreck of the Andaman Explorer lies off the northeastern tip.

Koh Racha Noi
Giant underwater boulders covered with a variety of coral combined with excellent visibility (30-100ft.) makes this an excellent dive site. High chance of seeing large marina animals -- whale sharks, manta rays, stingrays, leopard sharks and more.

Koh Dok Mai
Rich in invertebrates and a wide variety of corals, black- and white- tip reef sharks, leopard sharks, large moray eels and other large fish are often seen.

Shark Point
Covered with soft sponges and coral, the tip of this reef only just breaks the surface. The reef is constantly buzzing with fish of every imaginable size, a definite must for pelagic spotting.

Koh Phi Phi
A great variety of dive sites around Phi Phi enable a wide variety of species to be seen -- from small reef fish to leopard sharks and chances of seeing a whale shark (Jan-Feb) -- as well as some great corals -- staghorn, horn, brain, soft and sea fans.

King Cruiser Wreck
Sunk in 1997, the King Cruiser wreck is 85m long and lies in an upright position in fairly shallow water. This is an excellent opportunity to wreck-dive and add some adventure to your diving holiday.
